Members admitted to the Finance Education track (1st semester) begin with foundational training in investing concepts, valuation methodologies, equity research, and stock pitching. After completing the Education track, members can advance into the Fund Track to manage the TAMID national investment fund or apply to join the Financial Consulting Track for client-facing project experience.

What We Do

Finance Education provides an introduction to the finance industry and investment principles through coursework, stock pitches, and hands-on guidance from IBW and IMW members.

Coffee Chats

Members are expected to engage in one-on-one coffee chats with TAMID Finance leadership and are encouraged to connect with at least two additional members.

Expectations

Members in education track are expected to attend all meetings, engage actively, ask thoughtful questions, take notes, and complete all assigned activities. Professional conduct is required at all times, including but not limited to refraining from cell phone use and side conversations during meetings.

Fund Track

The TAMID Investment Fund offers members hands-on experience in conducting real investment research, equity analysis, and advanced valuation methods. Members engage in financial modeling, analytical thinking, and accounting techniques, enhancing their ability to evaluate and forecast investment performance. The fund covers sectors such as Technology, Media, Telecommunications, Healthcare, Software & Semiconductors, and Consumer & Retail.

 

Fund members also develop strong writing skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and public speaking abilities. By presenting complex financial concepts and strategies, members gain confidence and expertise in the finance industry, preparing them for successful careers.

 

TAMID Investment Fund members excel in Kelley Workshops such as the Investment Banking Workshop (IBW), Investment Management Workshop (IMW), Private Equity Workshop (PEW).

Dedicated weekly office hours will be offered for members interested in applying for the Investment Banking Workshop (IBW) or Investment Management Workshop (IMW). These sessions will provide personalized support for application essays, networking chats, and weekly lectures, as well as one-on-one check-ins to ensure each member receives tailored guidance throughout the application process.
